So this morning mostly went well. Anticipated AIS time of 7am was in fact 7:07am still within the acceptable plus or minus 10% (please don’t check my math). After a stop at McDonald’s and the ATM we were on the road to Vancouver. Road trip fun had by all until I casually asked troy about his sleep machine (as we approached Bellingham area). This casual question by me was followed by a long list of expletives from Troy and a really bad sinking feeling in my stomach. Troy without his CPAP for 5 weeks means bad things for all. Given the border is always an unknown, parking/shuttle an unknown plus flight check in and security are definitely an unknown, were not in a spot where we could go back to get it. Troy starts googling sleep machine stores in Vancouver and Rachael says maybe there’s one in Bellingham….GREAT IDEA! All that education paying off?????? Troy finds a place on internet, he calls and they say “sure-come on in” they were about 8 minutes off route and we roll in hot! I’m thinking “a CPAP machine costs a few thousand bucks” but we will see what they say I guess. A little voice in my head is saying “plus the cost of a missed flight” but that voice stayed in my head. Short story long but we were back on the road in 31 minutes, with a machine that we are “renting” for $80 a month. Wow Just wow!
Other hilites:
-No wait at border
-Caught parking shuttle two minutes after we parked
-Really long line at check in moved quickly
-Zipped through security with only Anna and Troy getting double screened
-At gate waiting to board with 15 minutes to spare

Got lucky there! Here’s to the fun trouble free times ahead. 🎉🎉
