We are off…
Well here we are ready to roll (onto our next destination). Just waiting for the shuttle that will come get us from our hotel and take us to the bus depot where we will take the VIP bus to Vang Vieng. We know from past experience (and things we have heard specifically about this trip) that it may not be what it seems. It highly unlikely the actual bus will look like the picture we saw. The dude at the travel shop promised everyone gets their own seats…but we have seen in the past this is not always true. BK, Russ, Ruby and Jay…do you guys remember that bus we took from Surat Thani to Krabi in 2009 where some, if not all of us, had people sitting in our laps as we were the lucky ones with seats…but others were in the aisles for the whole trip? That is a long time to stand…I have heard that they sometimes put little stools in the aisles if you are lucky….
Sounds horrible….but I guess they have to pack as many people on as possible…cuz then that is more money! Maybe with it being low season here it won’t be an issue. ; )
I guess I shouldn’t complain as it is only cost 310,000 kip ($38) for the two of us to make the trip ; )
